Du côté de La Petite Italie, Hélène Barbier et Charlotte Bonamour installées à Montréal, et leur amie Caitlin
Pinder-Doede fondent MOSS LIME dans leur salon. Entre ice cream sandwiches et swimming pool parties,
le trio sans réelle expérience musicale,jamme, enchaine les tutoriaux Youtube et s’exerce au Karaoké. Ultra
motivées, elles acceptent d'ouvrir pour GASHRAT et The Marlees (dont elles sont fans) dans un bar de
quartier. En une semaine à peine, elles se lovent dans un local et composent leurs 4 premiers titres qu'elles
enregistrent, fin juillet 2014, dans le studio analogique de Peter Woodford (Freelove Fenner) avant le retour
en France de Charlotte. Ce qui ne devait être qu'un "souvenir" de cet été passé à Montréal, se retrouve
édité en cassette ("July First") par le label Fixture (Homeshake, Brave Radar, Dirty Beaches, etc.). Fragile
et tendu, pop et hypnotique, MOSS LIME nous offre avec une spontanéité déconcertante et beaucoup de
cœur, un premier EP solide. Avec Jane L. Kasowicz, la nouvelle guitariste, suite au départ de Charlotte
pour Bruxelles, la gang de MOSS LIME enchaîne les dates. Début 2015, elles enregistrent leur premier
mini album "Zoo du Québec". Sept titres de pop-surf minimal d'hiver où elles se partagent toujours le micro.
Un album plus sombre mais qui se propagera tout aussi rapidement dans votre corps. "Zoo Du Québec"
sortira le 08 décembre en vinyle sur Telephone Explosion et en cassette (limitée à 80 copies) sur Atelier
Ciseaux. A l'occasion de cette sortie, Charlotte, Jane et Hélène se sont donné rendez-vous pour une
tournée européenne cet automne !

Everything started in Little Italie: Hélène Barbier, Charlotte Bonamour – both settled up in Montreal – and
Caitlin Pinder-Doede, start Moss Lime in their living room. From ice cream sandwiches to swimming pool
parties, the trio – who doesn't have proper musical experience –, starts making their own cooking by
jamming, learning on Youtube tutorials, and practicing at Karaokes. Ultra-motivated, they agree to open for
GASHRAT and the Marlees, of whom they are fans, in a bar of the neighborhood. In a week time, coiled up
together in a room, they write their first four songs that will be recorded at the Peter Woodford's analog
studio (Freelove Fenner), just before Charlotte flew back to France. What was only supposed to be a
souvenir of a fleeting band ends up recorded on cassette ("July First") and released by Fixture Records
(Homeshake, Brave Radar, Dirty Beaches, etc.). Fragile and tense, pop and hypnotic, Moss Lime provides
us with incredible spontaneity and lots of heart, a first solid EP. After Charlotte left to live in Brussels, the
Moss Lime gang is joined by Jane L. Kasowicz, the new guitarist, and keeps on playing quite a few shows.
Early 2015, they recorded their first mini-album “Zoo du Québec”: seven minimum-winter pop-surfing titles
casting the same crew gathered around the microphone. The album is darker but will spread just as quickly
in your body. "Zoo du Québec" will be released on December, 8th, on vinyl with Telephone Explosion, and
cassette with Atelier Ciseaux. At this occasion, Charlotte, Jane and Hélène are making a date for their first
European Tour happening this fall!
